Denial

The bars of your cage are of your own doing
You trap yourself without knowing
Or do you?
Some like the comforts of our own confines
The ideas you wish were right in your mind
But aren't true
No need to feel stripped when reality is conflicted
When the ideas you trusted, never existed
You follow?
The empty thoughts protected your world
Of candy cane, gum drops and sugary swirls
But everything is still hollow
We are all exposed, but you stand there naked
Surrounded by illusions that leave loneliness negated
Understand?
Time to find the key to unlock your fate
Time to live your life before it's too late
Before you're washed away like a grain of sand..

Where did I go?

11/03/05 - 01/13/08

We're here and we've reached a new plateau
Every thing's spinning and I don't know where to go
Not liking all the stuff I think I know
Still searching for an escape
But from a different anguish
Trying to pick up the pace
But don't know if I can stand this
Trying to recapture that drive
But not wanting to go back
To the depths I had to dive
To finally get on track

The drugs are getting old
And the alcohol now burns
But I still self medicate
Oh when will I learn
Figuring how to figure out
What the hell I'm all about
My tank is on empty
But I don't wanna stop
This car's given me plenty
Time to take it to the shop

Intoxicated Invalid

04/20/05-01/12/08

I try to read between the lines
Before the wind passes/
Inhaling it into the mind
Sniffing off dusty glasses/
Numbing my veins
From sorrow and pain/
Damn the next day hurts
But I'll do it again/
Racing to the finish line
Only one step/
Running against time
Until there is no one left/

We fly to different galaxies
While the gas inhibits me/
A journey so far
As we sit in my car - parked/
Light years we just left behind
Yet my clock still says nine/

Now to the next night
Of intoxicity/
What type of disillusionment
Will this one bring/
Melting walls/
Spiritual calls/
Or just an escape
From my unwanted being/

Jewels in the Bay

(22 Feb 2005)

Oh how I love this city
In which I've been very close too
She provides me with the hustle and bustle
A lively culture combining what's old and what's new
Different hemispheres forced to live as one
Here I'm hidden in the oceans haze
In 10min I'll find paradise sun
A tourist in my homeland
Adventure lies in my backyard
Finding little treasures in this metropolis
Is not at all that hard
The peaks of our land hide behind heavens guard
Hills rolling into the distance disappearing from afar
The beauty that emanates from the boarder of the pacific
Collects artifacts from far away
Both humble and prolific
It's where the sun wakes
From it's nap into the abyss
Rising from it's burial
Beyond the hills among the mist
A magical place, if you're from far away
But for me, it's my home
The birth of my day
